Meet the Founder

My Story

I grew up in the vibrant metropolis of New York City, where the pulse of life beats alongside a tapestry of diverse communities and abundant public transportation options. Growing up, I observed a glaring disparity in transportation access that left certain communities underserved – those who couldn't rely on public transit or lacked the means to drive faced significant challenges.

My journey took an unexpected turn when I enlisted in the military at the age of 18, dedicating eight years to serving my country. Following my military service, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, driven by a profound passion for healthcare and medicine. With each step of my academic journey, my commitment to addressing healthcare disparities deepened. Although initially drawn to a career in medicine, life led me down a different path, where I found myself increasingly focused on the social determinants of health, particularly transportation access for specialized populations. Social determinants of health refer to the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work, and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping the conditions of daily life. Social determinants of health play a significant role in influencing individuals' health outcomes and overall well-being, often impacting health disparities and inequities across different populations. Addressing social determinants of health is crucial for achieving health equity and improving overall population health.

This passion culminated in the inception of Auridan Collaborative, where we cater to provide transportation solutions for communities most vulnerable to social determinants. Whether it's ensuring non-emergency medical transportation for patients in need or addressing the unique mobility challenges of specialized populations, our mission remains rooted in rectifying these disparities, one passenger, one patient at a time.
